At Frame Architecture, we take pride in seeing our designs come to life and transform into vibrant communities. Here’s an update on three of our current affordable housing projects in Northern Nevada:
The Ridge at Sun Valley
The Ridge at Sun Valley, a 195-unit income-adjusted multi-family development, is now 95% complete. This HUD-financed project has been built in phases on a challenging 10-acre site with an existing 11% slope. The community features a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom units, along with a leasing center, clubhouse, pool, and playground. With construction nearing the finish line, The Ridge is bringing much-needed housing to the Sun Valley area.
Hawkview Apartments
Currently in the framing stage, Hawkview is a phased-build project that stands out for its innovative construction methods. The use of cold-formed steel framing and concrete retaining walls has allowed the design to adapt closely to the topography of the site. This creative approach not only enhances structural resilience but also enabled the addition of 11 extra units by incorporating a basement level. Hawkview is a great example of how thoughtful design and engineering can maximize both density and livability.
Silverada Manor
Silverada Manor is a full renovation project revitalizing an existing 150-unit affordable housing complex. Organized as clusters of 8-10 single-story units per building, the project goes beyond interior upgrades with a complete exterior residing and fresh color scheme, giving the community an entirely new look and feel. The renovation preserves affordability while improving quality of life for residents, ensuring these homes will serve the community for decades to come.
